Ligeng Jiang

Ligeng Jiang is a professor and the leader of the Key Laboratory of Crop Cultivation and Farming Systems at Guangxi University, China. His primary research interests include soil–plant interactions, climate change, particularly in relation to fertilizer management, greenhouse gas emissions, rice production, and rice quality.

He obtained his master’s degree from Huazhong Agricultural University China and his doctorate from Nanjing Agricultural University China. He currently serves as a doctoral advisor at Guangxi University. In addition, he is an expert in the cultivation program of the Guangxi Innovation Team (rice) under the National Modern Agricultural Industrial Technology System. He is also a director of both the Chinese Crop Society and the Guangxi Crop Society, and the deputy leader of the Guangxi Rice Full Mechanization Technology Expert Group.

With over 32 years of experience in teaching and research related to crop cultivation, Professor Jiang has received numerous prestigious awards for his contributions to both scientific research and education.
